Training

Training is a key service offered by Motorvate Therapies. We are passionate about helping more people to understand the underlying reasons (the ‘why’) of a young person’s challenges/behaviour through informative training.

We offer a range of courses that can be tailor made to suit the requirements or the client. We aim to:

Provide a basic understanding of the neuro-typical development and neurodiversity
Provide a more in-depth understanding of neurodiversity, how conditions manifest themselves day to day, how to adapt the tasks, curriculum/teaching approaches to support different learning/play needs

Example course

An introduction to Sensory Integration
This introductory course will outline a child’s typical pattern of motor/sensory development and describe where neurodiversity (Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)/ Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and many others) fit into this. Delegates participants in experiential tasks to demonstrate some of the difficulties a child may face and teaches strategies which allow them to adapt their approach and provide the best possible support.

Costs range from £350 – £800. Full day, half day, evening or twilight sessions can be arranged.
